It’s tough to be a free agent heading into a possible lockout, and he pitched into a horrible slump just in time for the playoffs. Still, his status and pre-slump value considered, Davis is probably Ainge’s best chip in a sign-and-trade package. He remains the most versatile frontcourt player on this team.
