Charles Barkley: Ron Artest should be suspended: 'Lakers are done'
TNT's Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith break down the Mavericks' Game 2 win over the Lakers.
Barkley on Ron Artest's elbow to J.J. Barea's face at the end of the fourth quarter: "He's going to get suspended."
Smith: "I think he'll get fined."
Barkley: "It's stupid, you can't do that man."
Smith: "That might help them. More minutes for Lamar Odom. Might help them."
Barkley: "Crazy. … You can't just run across the court and punch a guy in the face."
Smith (changing his mind): "I think he will be suspended. He should be suspended under the letter of the law."
Barkley on the game: "The Lakers are done. The Mavericks are a better team. They have no chance of guarding Dirk Nowitzki. The additions of Brendan Haywood and Tyson Chandler this year make them a lot more physical."
Barkley on Dirk's performance: "When you're guarding Dirk Nowitzki, all you need is a cigarette and a blindfold."
Kidd on Artest's clothesline: "That's up to the league to handle that. We talked about that in the huddle that something crazy might happen and it happened. We'll see what the league does."
Barkley on Kidd: "John Stockton , Gary Payton and Jason Kidd are the three best point guards I've seen in my lifetime."
