Chris Wilcox hopes to leave good impression on Pistons with recent play

Chris Wilcox has 12 games left in his current contract.

The way he is playing right now should help him earn a new contract for next season, even if that might not be with the Detroit Pistons.

Wilcox has averaged 14.5 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 26-for-33 (78.8 percent) from the field in his past four games. He is in the final year of a two-year contract with the Pistons, who have 12 games remaining in the regular season.

"I just know these last games, I’ve got to go out and finish strong," he said. "I’ve got to go out and play hard and keep doing what I’m doing. Hopefully, I can leave a good impression on them when it is time for me to re-sign. I just want to be in a situation where I can grow and where I can help."
