Could Miller have more value in trade than amnesty?

Based on the latest backgrounding, the Heat can retain Miller and still remain in position to retain a full, $5 million mid-level exception. In fact, that’s more than they would have to spend if they waived Miller in an amnesty move, since they still would be well above the salary cap. But that tells only part of the story, since the Heat eventually will move well into the luxury tax, which will make Miller a considerable cap hit down the road. But don’t only consider the amnesty provision when it comes to Miller. He still has a relatively reasonable contract, which also could make him a trade chip. Take the Nuggets, for example. With Denver losing Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler to overseas deals, the Heat might attempt to package Miller with perhaps Udonis Haslem or Joel Anthony (or even a re-signed Mario Chalmers) in some sort of sign-and-trade deal for Nene. While the amnesty debate is intriguing with Miller, it is only part of the story. Hmm, with LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Nene and perhaps Baron Davis, who cares about depth?
