Dahntay Jones finally plays

One of the reasons the Pacers signed Dahntay Jones to a multiyear contract in 2009 was his defensive skills against the league's top guards.

It took two games, but Jones got his shot at guarding Bulls All-Star guard Derrick Rose, who has dominated the series.

Jones and rookie Paul George teamed up to force Rose into a 4-of-18 shooting performance.

"I'm very proud," Jones said. "Paul did a great job of trying to keep him out the paint, make him take tough shots and make it hard for him. Derrick is one of the great players in our league. Like anyone else, you have to try to make him take tough shots, take away what he likes to do."

Jones was on Rose when he hit the winning basket with 17.8 seconds left.

"We had our rotations in order to play the play, but he made a great play at the basket and he finished," Jones said. "It happened so fast. All you could do was try to make a play at the ball."
