Dallas could be Tayshaun Prince's destination
Prince is a free agent, and although he said he'd like to return to Detroit, the prospect of playing for Carlisle and a team that could challenge for an NBA title has to be appealing. He definitely would help Carlisle, especially on defense.
It was Prince's play and defense in his rookie season that helped derail Tracy McGrady and the Orlando Magic when the Pistons trailed, 3-1, in the first round of the playoffs.
"This organization has meant a lot to me," Prince said after the season. "Obviously I try to pay that back by going out there and play the way I normally play. I would like to come back, but I know the nature of this business.''
Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations, said before the season was over that he'd like Prince back, but if that doesn't happen, Dallas would be a nice landing spot.
