Darren Collison optimistic for Game 3

Indiana Pacers guard Darren Collison is optimistic to play in Game 3 against the Chicago Bulls after rolling his ankle Monday.

"Good chance [of playing]," Collison said Tuesday. "I don't know the percentage, but there's a real good chance.

"If I can more than jog, and run ... it may not be a full sprint, I know I'm going to play Thursday."

Collins stepped on a cameraman late in the first half of Game 2 at the United Center. He tested the ankle before the second half but was unable to return.

The Pacers were up 45-36 when Collison left, and the Bulls went on a 23-7 run before pulling out a 96-90 victory to take a 2-0 series lead.

"I'm optimistic," Collison said. "It's getting better as time goes on. It's one of those things where you stay off it as much as you can.

"Hopefully I'm back Thursday. I know if I'm 60 or 70 percent, I'm going to play. This is the playoffs. I was disappointed I couldn't get into the game in the second half."
