Former Net Troy Murphy says he understands why team traded him

Troy Murphy has no hard feelings toward the Nets, he said. None.
“No. I understand that it’s a business," the former Net said from the visiting locker room before tonight's game. “I wish them the best. I think they made a great trade (to acquire Deron Williams from Utah). They got one of the top point guards in the league and I think they have a really bright future. I’m kind of happy where I’m at, and that’s it, really.”
“I’m happy with where I’m at and excited to hopefully help this team go on a playoff run,” he said.
Murphy played 9:29 off the bench and grabbed five rebounds in the Nets' 88-79 win over the Celtics. He did not take a shot and did not score.
