Go-to Vince

"I'm all for it," Vince Carter said. "I've been there before. I feel confident. I feel comfortable in that position because I've been there before. It doesn't scare me. I'm not afraid to take the shot if it's there. I'm just a sore loser when I miss the shot. Sometimes, you guys will see it. Sometimes you won't. I'll just go tear up my own house."

Carter was his team's top scorer for each of his first 10 NBA seasons and his team's second-leading scorer the past two seasons. With the Suns, he has averaged 16.8 points on 43 percent shooting.

"I enjoy the moment and being in that position," said Carter, who turns 34 on Jan. 26. "I'm not afraid to fail. That's the biggest thing, being in that position when a coach has the confidence in you and the team has confidence in you. You can't be afraid to fail. You can't be afraid to take the shot regardless.

"Can you hold your head up high? A lot of guys can take one shot and have success and take the next two and fail. What happens the next time? Will he take it or will he pass it? I'm still going to make the best possible play."
