Hawes to stay with Sixers

Spencer Hawes has agreed to a one-year qualifying offer of $4 million to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers, Hawes told Yahoo! Sports on Saturday.

Hawes, a restricted free agent, can become an unrestricted free-agent after the season. He averaged 7.2 points and 5.6 rebounds in 81 games for the Sixers a season ago. Along with Thaddeus Young, who signed a five year, $43 million extension, Hawes was one of GM Rod Thorn’s priorities to re-sign for the season.
