Jackson ties Bynum’s future directly to physique

Phil Jackson was asked Sunday how he envisions Bynum’s long-term future.

“It all depends how well he sustains his physical capability,” Jackson said. “It’s all about that.”

Jackson said it’s not simply staying healthy, because things are more complicated than that for Bynum: “Not his health, but his knee and his carriage. That’s the issue for big guys; how they handle injuries and how they come back from them.”

Jackson said if Bynum can stay whole, then “he’s going to be great. He’ll have a great opportunity.”
