Jeffries back to the Knicks?

Assuming neither Jared Jeffries nor Eddy Curry is included in a potential trade for Carmelo Anthony, one may end up replacing the other on the Knicks roster.

Jeffries, traded to Houston last season in the Tracy McGrady deal, is expected to negotiate a buyout with the Rockets after the trading deadline. Jeffries told The News two months ago that he'd like to return to the Knicks, where he flourished under Mike D'Antoni.

Curry's expiring contract is a valuable trading chip that the Knicks would include in a deal for Anthony. If Curry defies the odds and is not traded by Feb. 24th, his contract will likely be bought out.
