Jennings doing his daily drill work

The 21-year-old Jennings said he plans to stay in Milwaukee this summer while preparing for his third NBA season, even though there remains the possibility of a lockout. The current collective bargaining agreement expires on June 30 and recent talks in Dallas have made little progress.

"Our season ended kind of early because we missed the playoffs," Jennings said. "I don't want to take too much time off and wait until the lockout comes and then decide to start working out."

Jennings said he hopes to gain some weight during the off-season to help him withstand the rigors of the long NBA season.

"The thing with me is I have to keep eating every day," Jennings said. "I try to eat every three hours. That's the main thing that's going to help me and keep my weight going.

"We'll see what I can gain, I'll just say that."

Jennings said he didn't worry about recent Internet trade rumors that mentioned him, rumors that were unsourced.

"Actually, it was nothing that bothered me at all," Jennings said. "You always hear rumors. If I don't hear it from the Bucks GM (John Hammond) or anybody in the front office, then I really don't pay no attention to it."

The Bucks coaching staff has been working with Jennings on all facets of his game in the past few weeks, including his shooting from inside the three-point line.

"You've got to be pleased with the commitment Brandon has shown," said Bucks assistant general manager Jeff Weltman. "He's in working every day.

"He's really focused on him getting better and on us having a better season next year."
