Jordan on all things Bobcats

Michael Jordan says there’s no reason Charlotte can’t be a destination for a major free agent, and that he’s more than willing to spend for a player of that magnitude.

He hated last summer’s inactivity and says it won’t happen again: “I vowed never to be inactive in the draft and inactive in the summer (free-agency). We want people calling us (for trades). And we were always calling them.’’

He said Gerald Henderson has the upside to be an All-Star in two seasons.

He said this team’s biggest need might be a dependable rebounder-post defender.

He’s very conscious of Boris Diaw’s under-achieving: “Somehow we’ve got to figure out all the enigma that is Diaw.’’
