Knicks have interest in Sebastian Telfair
Bill Walker was inactive Monday night with a sore knee. The injury comes on the day it was reported that the Knicks are using the small forward as trade bait in order to acquire a back-up point guard. Walker's value around the league is average at best and certainly not enough to bring a point guard who could replace Toney Douglas, who after a quick start has leveled off.
"I don't see the Knicks in any rush to do anything because Raymond (Felton) has played well," said one Eastern Conference GM. "Plus, there's not a lot out there right now."
Minnesota's Sebastian Telfair could be available, especially when Jonny Flynn returns to the Wolves lineup. Telfair, who is from Brooklyn, is the cousin of former Knick Stephon Marbury. ... All the Knicks scouts were are in town for meetings this week. ... Spurs executive Danny Ferry, the former Cavs GM, was in attendance Monday night as was former Portland GM Kevin Pritchard.
