Landry would consider return to team
Kings forward Carl Landry said he has not thought about his free agency options but would consider returning to the Rockets if they were interested. The Rockets sent Landry to Sacramento in February in the Kevin Martin trade.
"The fans here were great to me," Landry said. "I had great support. This is a place I enjoyed. I'd consider it, definitely, but that's so far away I haven't thought about that yet.
"I'd consider every team. It was my dream to play in the NBA, not for a certain team."
Landry was immediately inserted into the starting lineup in Sacramento after the trade, a role he had never held in Houston, and immediately produced. When he returned on Tuesday, he was back to coming off the bench, replaced in the starting lineup by Jason Thompson.
After averaging 16.8 points with the Rockets and 18 per game with the Kings last season, Landry is averaging just 11.8 points in 27.2 minutes per game this season. He sounded lukewarm about the change.
"It's OK," Landry said. "After I left here, I was in a different role, more of a starting role. Now I'm back (coming off the bench.) I just have to get used to it. I had to get used to starting, now I have to get used to coming off the bench again.
"Whatever is going to help our team be successful in this league, I'm all for it."
