Magic rookie Daniel Orton has knee surgery Thursday

Daniel Orton underwent surgery this morning on his troublesome left knee, and the Orlando Magic's rookie center said the procedure went well.

A few minutes ago, Orton tweeted the following message: "Thanks for the prayers everyone. GOD let me have a wonderful surgery. Doc said better than he expected. Man GOD is good and works wonders!!!"

Orton told the Orlando Sentinel on Tuesday that he expected to have an arthroscopic procedure on the knee to take care of cartilage damage.
