Marc Gasol raves about New York

Before the trade, the Knicks had Memphis center Marc Gasol, a restricted free agent, on their radar, but now don’t have the salary-cap space to make a move.

The Knicks can obtain Gasol through a sign-and-trade.

Gasol said he has never played in a D'Antoni-type system, but raved about New York City being similar to Barcelona, his hometown.
