Miami Heat likely to sign Mike Bibby

It appears the Miami Heat will sign free agent point guard Mike Bibby but lose out on veteran big man Troy Murphy.

Heat forward LeBron James said Tuesday during practice that Bibby is expected to join the team Wednesday, which is the first day players can sign after clearing the NBA’s 48-hour waiver wire. Point guard Carlos Arroyo did not attend practice and likely will be released to make room for Bibby. Heat president Pat Riley planned to issue a statement later in the day.
