Mo Williams still not healthy
Mo Williams conceded that he's only between 80 and 90 percent, depending on the night, because of a groin issue that at this point might linger all season.
Williams has posted double-digit assist figures in each of the past four games and is averaging 8.8 assists during the month of December, significantly above his career mark of 4.9. It's evidence Williams is understanding the offense and giving his teammates the ball in positions to succeed, even if it isn't translating to victories yet.
''My minutes have been up. I'm on the floor more,'' Williams said. ''I had to get used to what this team needs me to do.''
The losing has taken a toll on everyone, particularly Williams. Most of his conversations begin and end with him just wanting to win and doing whatever it takes to win. He conceded last week the losing has been more difficult than anything he experienced at Milwaukee and now his lingering groin issues have resurfaced.
Williams spends time every day getting extra treatment on the groin muscles. He placed a foam circle between his legs before Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks, squeezing his thighs together presumably in an effort to stretch and strengthen the groin muscles.
