Mobile phones account for nearly half of social network traffic

Half or more of all social networking traffic comes from mobile devices. This statistic proves that the use of mobile phone applications will continue improving. Source of article: 40 percent of Facebook visits happen via mobile app

40 percent of visits to Facebook are mobile

A lot of consumers use the Facebook app to log in to the social network. About 40 percent of Facebook visits go through the app, as reported by Enders Analysis. It is expected that about 20 percent of Facebook users only use the mobile app to check Facebook, although there has not been any figures done with that yet.

Moving toward an HTML5 encounter

Facebook is starting to move increasingly more towards HTML5. This is because the Facebook application has become so popular. Development of the app is more significant than ever. Many people are changing to HTML5 through. It makes it easier for consumers to use the app when they have that kind of interface.

Twitter statistics

Many apps tap to the Twitter API. That is why so many people use phones to access Twitter. As reported by the Pew Internet & American Life Project Report of 2011, over half of Twitter customers use mobile phones and applications to access their accounts. Since Twitter is almost as popular as Facebook, the two are easily compared. It is easier to access Twitter through a phone than Facebook, which makes a large difference.

Mobile access more common

Social networks should take away one thing from these stats. It has become more significant to have a mobile application to be able to get connected. Users need these applications to be able to be willing to participate.
