Nene and Prince in Nets free agency plans

Deron Williams, a two-time All-Star, is the central basketball figure in the team's upcoming move to Brooklyn. He can opt out of his contract after next season and is on record saying he wants to remain a Net, though he wants an upgrade in the supporting cast. Two unrestricted free agents, Denver's power forward/center Nene, and Detroit's small forward Tayshaun Prince, will be the Nets' prime targets when the lockout ends. Kris Humphries is a priority to re-sign -- but only at a reasonable price.

Nets officials, who are under an NBA gag order that forbids comment on any NBA matters, declined to discuss Williams' impending move.

Commissioner David Stern has said the league would not interfere with players seeking overseas employment during a lengthy lockout. Williams, given his lofty player stature, could be the first domino in a foreign exodus if the lockout is in effect for an extended time.
