Patty Mills must stay in China

Restricted free agent point guard Patty Mills recently joined the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in China and, reportedly, does not have an “out clause” like Batum. That means he will have to play out the season in China. Mills was not a lock to return to the Blazers anyway. Similarly, second-round draft pick Jon Diebler is playing in Greece and is not expected to play in the NBA this season.
