Jonas Jerebko, one of the team's few players to not get hit by a significant injury last season, partially ruptured his right Achilles tendon and is expected to miss five to six months after surgery Friday, the team said. He went down in a heap in the first quarter when he collided with Heat center Joel Anthony.
Meanwhile, rookie Terrico White broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot in the fourth quarter. He also will have surgery Friday, but his recovery timetable is uncertain. White was drafted in the second round with the 36th pick overall this year. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 15 points last season as a sophomore at Mississippi.
