Pistons' Tayshaun Prince, as free agent, will consider every team interested
Pistons president Joe Dumars will get the first phone call. But Tayshaun Prince, who will be a free agent this summer, admitted Tuesday he will listen to offers from all teams that are interested.
"I will give every franchise consideration," Prince said. "When you've been playing with an organization for nine years, you just don't say, 'I'm not going back there.' If you've been with a franchise long enough, you're going to see both sides."
Dumars has said he would like to re-sign Prince.
Prince, 31, will be considered one of the top 10 free agents this offseason and will command attention from teams looking for veteran scoring and defense. Prince can play small forward and point forward, although he hasn't done as much of that this season.
"The situation I would be looking for would be the best fit for me," Prince said. "What direction is the team going and putting yourself in the best position to win."
"I would love the opportunity to play for another ring," he said. "What an unbelievable time we had. No doubt about it I want to play for that again."
