Rockets' Scola undergoes successful knee surgery

Rockets forward Luis Scola underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery on the team announced in a statement Monday.

The surgery was performed Friday to remove loose cartilage in Scola's left knee.

Team officials said there was still no timetable for his return but the Argentine is expected to fully recover for the beginning of Rockets training camp later this year.

Scola, 30, had probably his strongest season as a Rocket in the 2010-2011 season, averaging more than 18 points and 8 rebounds a game.
