Ronny Turiaf to ASVEL

After Tony Parker, ASVEL Basket is pleased to announce the arrival of Ronny Turiaf for the duration of the NBA lockout.

"I fly Wednesday," said Ronny Turiaf, " and I arrive in France on Thursday, I hope, to have my first practice this weekend. I will do what is necessary to be in uniform as soon as possible because I really want to play and wear the ASVEL jersey. We started to talk a long time ago, but it became non-topic with my hand injury. Talks resurfacedlast week when I felt I could play again.

ASVEL is a great club, which dominated, with Pau-Ortez, the  French League while I was a youth playing at INSEP. The current team has great potential. I hope to bring what I can do, my defense, my ability as a team player and my post up ability to help spread the floor for our shooters, who are numerous at ASVEL. And score when they ask me to... "
