Source: Clips to keep Jarron Collins

The Los Angeles Clippers are going to keep center Jarron Collins on their opening night roster, a source close to the situation said on Monday.

They have a spot after announcing that they cut forward Marqus Blakely.

Blakely, who earned a training camp invite with a strong performance at the Las Vegas Summer League, was under strong consideration until the last minute, but the team is deeper at the wing position.

The Clippers' opening night roster stands at 13 players. Los Angeles opens it's season Wednesday night at Staples Center against the Portland Trail Blazers.
