Suns to sign Brown, Telfair

The Phoenix Suns will sign free-agent guard Shannon Brown to a one-year, $3.5 million contract.

Brown, 26, spent the past 2½ seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning two championships with them. He averaged 8.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 82 games last season.

The Suns also will sign Sebastian Telfair to a one-year, $1.5 million deal. Telfair spent last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
