Thomas "highly doubtful'' against Pacers

Charlotte Bobcats power forward Tyrus Thomas is “highly doubtful’’ to play Friday against the Indiana Pacers, according to coach Larry Brown.
Thomas has a sore left quadriceps and missed practice Wednesday and Thursday. Thomas said he isn’t sure when he injured his leg, but he started feeling pain as he cooled off on the bench during Tuesday’s victory over the Denver Nuggets.
Also Thursday, the Bobcats decided to send rookie Sherron Collins for a stint with the Development League Maine Red Claws.
Collins, the team’s third point guard, has played briefly in two of the Bobcats’ last five games. Brown said this is a chance for Collins to play a lot and improve his game-conditioning.
Collins said he welcomed the chance to get in more run.
