Trail Blazers and New Jersey talk trade involving Andre Miller and Joel Przybilla for Devin Harris and Troy Murphy

The Trail Blazers have engaged in trade talks with New Jersey about a deal that would send Andre Miller and Joel Przybilla to the Nets for point guard Devin Harris and power forward Troy Murphy.

A third player from Portland, or a third team, would have to be included to make the deal work financially. Harris and Murphy make a combined $21 million while Miller and Przybilla make a combined $14.6 million.

“It’s real, but it’s not done,’’ a person with knowledge of the talks said Monday evening.

Blazers general manager Rich Cho declined to be interviewed on Monday evening.

Przybilla, 31, has indicated he might consider a buyout or retirement if he is traded. On Monday evening, his agent, Bill Duffy, said “that will be a very quick and intense conversation” with the team acquiring Przybilla.
