Trail Blazers rookie Armon Johnson will be recalled from the Development League and will be in uniform for the Blazers’ first game after the All-Star Break, Wednesday against the Lakers.
General manager Rich Cho informed Johnson of the decision on Thursday.
Johnson, who averaged 17.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in his first eight games, will play one more game for the Idaho Stampede on Monday at Utah.
Cho said the team was satisfied with Johnson’s assignment.
“Just getting him some playing time was the main thing,’’ Cho said. “There’s no substitute for games, refs, crowds, and going against opponents instead of your own teammates.’’
