Warriors guarantee Lin, Law; undecided on Carney

Jeremy Lin and Acie Law are going to have nice weeks.

Not so sure about Rodney Carney.

Warriors general manager Larry Riley confirmed on Monday that the team will guarantee the contracts of Lin and Law for the remainder of the season. But Riley said no decision has been made regarding Carney, the third player on the team who has a non-guaranteed contract.

NBA contracts become guaranteed on Jan. 10, so if the Warriors are going to waive Carney, it would likely come as soon as Wednesday. That would give Carney enough time to clear waivers by the 10th.

“We haven’t made a decision on him,” Riley said from Orlando, where the Warriors are playing the Magic. “(coach) Keith (Smart) and I will talk things through. We’ll see where it goes. I would say we’ll have more clarity on Wednesday.”
