Webster completes first full contact practice, Tuesday meeting with doctors ahead

Wolves swingman Martell Webster completed his full contact practice in San Antonio this afternoon and spent time afternoon testing his "bounce" with a series of runs at the hoop for some between-the-legs dunks on which he eased up at the end.

He said he will meet with doctors who performed his October back surgery, team physicians, athletic trainer Gregg Farnam and Kurt Rambis on Tuesday to discuss his game return.

"I'm not going to look into the future at all," he said ."I'm not going to get anybody's hopes up. When the meeting comes, I'll relay the message."

Webster said there's no comparison between this back surgery and foot surgery he had that cost him the 2008-09 season because with this one he's already back getting ready to play again.

"I feel great," he said. "My back feels fine. I don't have any soreness or stiffness. Actually, to tell you the truth, it really wasn't my back that was hurting. It was the nerve that the hernia was pushing up against, that was going down my leg. That's the main thing. When I flex my leg, is that nerve sore, is it tender? It's not and it hasn't been giving me pain."
