Wolves Acquire Anthony Randolph
The Minnesota Timberwolves acquired forward Anthony Randolph, center Eddy Curry and cash considerations from the New York Knicks, as well a 2015 second-round draft pick from the Denver Nuggets, in a three-team deal. As part of the trade, the Wolves sent guard Corey Brewer to New York and center Kosta Koufos to Denver.
"We are excited to add a player like Anthony who is a young, athletic big man with a bright future. When given playing time, he has shown that he can produce in this league," said David Kahn, Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations. "We want to thank Corey and Kosta for their time with us, and wish them both the best of luck in the future.
"It is always hard to trade such exceptional men as Corey and Kosta. But the fact remains that we are overcapacity at the wing position, and with the arrival of Anthony would also have a hard time distributing minutes to all our young big men."
