Strengths: One of the best three-point marksman in the entire league when he's feeling it…The type of player who can change the momentum of a game with the flick of his wrist, as it's always devastating when a center starts knocking down threes…Has shot over 38% from range in each of the past three seasons (shot 44.6% from beyond the arc in '08-09)…Despite his propensity to hang back beyond the arc and his unimpressive defensive numbers, he's very tough…Has never played less than 71 games in a season in his career, an impressive feat for someone his size…Wields his large frame with real grace…Great footwork...A solid rebounder whose stats would look a lot better if he wasn't playing alongside two power forwards who inhale boards…Good at gauging the rhythm of a game and deciding whether he should play inside or outside on offense…Can play either power forward or center with equal confidence…Despite playing on the perimeter a great deal, he never loses his concentration.
Weaknesses: A remedial defender…Stubby arms and lack of athleticism prevent him from being an effective shot-blocker (0.7 blocks per game for his career)…One of the slowest players in the league end to end…Needs to be very squared up and comfortable to release a shot…Surprisingly few dependable post moves, making him more feared from the perimeter than in the paint…Lack of intensity on defense has a ripple effect…Struggles to guard agile big men…Can disappear at the end of games.
Note: Ruptured his ankle in April 2010 which usually takes 4-6 months recovery time, but is a difficult injury to ever fully recover from.
